Agadir Imchguiguiln

Ait Baha - 78

Description
Agadir Imchguiguiln is a historic fortified granary located in the mountains near Ait Baha, in Morocco’s Souss-Massa region. Built over 750 years ago by the Amazigh people, this agadir served as a secure communal storage site for food, documents, and valuables. The structure features stone walls, a watchtower, and over 30 storage cells. Recently restored, it reflects the ingenuity of traditional Berber architecture and is considered one of the most important cultural landmarks in the Anti-Atlas Mountains. It is a must-visit site for those interested in heritage tourism and Amazigh history.
